Profitable sport for betting
What sport is better to bet on?
You might have heard ideas like “Football is not appropriate for betting” or “You can defeat the bookmakers only if you bet on tennis”, meaning that more and less profitable sports for betting exist.
It is true and at the same time false. This is highly individual question, and if somebody wins when betting on tennis only, it might not work for you.
If the a priori advantageous for the players kinds of sport existed, the bookmakers would not take stakes on them, this is it.
You should bet on the sport that you know best. Football, tennis, hockey, snooker, water polo or chess – whatever, as long as you are good in it or have reliable sources of information, it really doesn’t make any difference here.
On the long-term basis the process of betting becomes pure mathematics. The teams, players, coaches and motivation don’t matter anymore – only numbers are important. If you think that there is an event underestimated by the bookmakers, you stake on it. If you are better in guessing the possibility of a certain event than the bookmakers, you will win.
If you know a lot about some sport, it will not get you money – only the ability to be more precise in guessing the winning stake.
